Between County Road 341 and Smith Creek (5 to 12 miles east of Silver Cliff) from Mile Point 10 to Mile Point 17. Both shoulders are closed due to road maintenance operations. Slower speeds are advised.


CDOT crews have reopened Independence Pass on Colorado Highway 82 for the season. Workers unlocked seasonal closure gates on Friday, May 31, at noon. Both sides of the pass were reopened to motorists. Vehicles that are 35 feet or longer are still prohibited.

The Wetmore Volunteer Fire Department will host an open house at the fire station, 200 CR 290 (Trinity Ranch Road) at 5 pm on Thursday, June 6th.
