Woven, knit, crocheted, felted, beaded, sewn and other handmade items are for sale. Weaving and spinning demonstrations are ongoing throughout the show. 11am – 4pm Blend of Art running now through October. at the 3rd Street Gallery. Weaving together a unique display of art in all mediums, Blend of Art is an open theme show. Visitors are invited to vote for People’s Choice awards. Open to all skill levels, styles and mediums. Open Thursday – Monday. The opening reception is September 2nd.

For Labor Day Weekend… the 2nd Street Block Party takes place this Saturday from 11-1:30pm by the KLZR Studio on 2nd Street. And the High Altitude Horsepower Car Show runs from 9am – 2pm also on Saturday in Westcliffe.
10 Minute Play Performance The Westcliffe Center for Performing Arts Players will be producing and performing the 10 minute plays. Performances are Friday and Saturday night at 7:30, and a Sunday matinée at 2pm at the Jones Theatre 119 Main Street in Westcliffe.

KLZR’s annual High Peaks Music Fest is fast approaching. You can grab some tickets from www.klzr.org and at the gate. If big rain is predicted, we’ll squeeze as many people as we can into our rain venue, All Aboard Westcliffe (110 Rosita Avenue). This is the final concert in our 8 concert music series. The other 7 were free, so thanks for joining us on our lone fundraiser.
