ROADS & HIGHWAYS

US 50 East Yesterday at 8:05am it was reported US 50 east was closed due to road maintenance operations between Dixon Lane and County Road 69 (5 miles west of Cañon City) at MM 272. Not sure if this is the case today, but always ready to give the heads-up.

CO 96 One more day until the CO 96 project is totally complete. 

US 50 between Florence and Canyon City is having road maintenance requiring slower speeds.

A call for entries for the Blend of Art Exhibit at the 3rd Street Gallery. Artists of all types are invited to submit their work for a group exhibition. Intake is August 27th and 28th 11am – 4pm. Show runs from August 31st until October 2nd. Sponsored by the Sangres Art Guild.

Saturday August 26th the Beckwith Ranch in cooperation with Westcliffe Rotary is presenting Rockin the Ranch featuring The House of Goo, High Country Junkies, Smythe and Taylor, and more. No admission but donations are greatly appreciated. All proceeds benefit Rotary Youth Programs both locally and internationally. Bring a blanket,  lawn chairs…. shade will be provided. 

 

This Sunday August 20th at the Summer in the Park free concert series, KLZR presents The Rifters. Concert starts at 2pm at Bluff Park. 

There’s a super secret fundraiser party for KLZR featuring Smythe and Taylor on Labor Day, Monday, September 4th. $50 bucks includes a great show, burgers, hot dogs, sides, beer and wine. Email Kathy at kathy.blaha@klzr.org to get the secret code and map to the rendezvous point. There is a limit of 50 seats.
