Stefanie hails from Brooklyn, NY where she got to see some of the greatest concerts a
girl could see. Stefanie got her start in radio at WSIA in the early 90s. After moving around
in her early 20s and always going back to NYC, she finally moved to Colorado in 2002 never
looking back. Within weeks of moving to Colorado, Stefanie signed up with KGNU Boulder and
volunteered there for 10 years, off and on, taking a hiatus while she founded her own café and
bakery in Nederland.
It was in Ned, at her bakery, where Stefanie met her husband and began a family a few years
later. Once her first daughter was born, she sold her business and bought a home in Denver.
After spending 9 years in Denver, watching it grow and become a place similar to Brooklyn,
Stefanie knew that she wanted to get out of the once “cute, little city” to avoid being in a big
city again.
“My love of music runs deep,” she says. From blues and classic rock to alternative rock and
traditional jazz, to some obscure stuff like The Residents and Pain Teens, Stefanie enjoys most
genres as long as there is the talent rooted in it.
You can hear Stefanie Tuesdays on KLZR on Rockin’ The Range from noon – 2pm.
