HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK – Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across the mountains for today, Saturday and Monday. There will be a greater chance for precipitation chances on Sunday for all of the higher terrain. Showers and storms could bring locally heavy rainfall, especially to the Continental Divide.
Stage 1 Fire Restriction ENDS for Custer County today.
Custer County entered stage 1 fire restrictions on June 15th based on dry vegetation and high winds. Custer County experienced generous rainfall over the past few weeks, allowing the Stage 1 Fire Restrictions to be lifted. Please continue to use good judgement and caution when conducting outdoor burning or welding.

CDOT is reminding drivers to expect additional traffic in many areas of the state due to the numerous events and recreational activities taking place over the Labor Day weekend.

10 Minute Play Performance The Westcliffe Center for Performing Arts Players will be producing and performing the 10 minute plays. Performances are tonight and Saturday night at 7:30, and a Sunday matinée at 2pm at the Jones Theatre 119 Main Street in Westcliffe.

7:30am – 10am Labor Day Pancake Breakfast fundraiser for the Howard Volunteer Fire Department. Everyone will gather at 8274 US Highway 50 in Howard.
