TODAY – A 20% chance of snow showers after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 32º. Wind chill values between -5º and 5º. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT – A 40% chance of snow showers, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 10º. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable.

TOMORROW – Partly sunny, with a high near 33º. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east northeast in the morning.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK – Snow showers off and on. Highest amounts will be over the higher terrain, but overall accumulations beginning on Friday will be light.

There aren’t any local construction or obstructions for today. Just be aware that there still might be snow plows on the road. Drive slowly and stay safe.

New snow has formed thick slabs at all elevations. The wind drifted the thickest slabs on slopes that face north to east. Avalanches triggered in the surface snow could break deeper, releasing a larger and more dangerous avalanche. Cautious route finding and identifying areas of unstable snow will be essential to stay safer in the backcountry. Look for cracks shooting across the slopes in front of you and signs of recent avalanche activity as indicators of rapidly rising danger.
