AVALANCHE REPORT

Avalanche Warning and High (Level 4 of 5) avalanche danger till this morning for the San Juan, La Plata, La Garita, and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. As flow transitions from southwest to west, deeper snow totals and larger water loads should expand spatially across the region. Heavy snow and strong winds are creating very dangerous avalanche conditions. If you choose to venture into the backcountry, conservative terrain choices will be critical to manage the unknown and reduce your avalanche risk.
