Wet Mountain Weavers

The Wet Mountain Weavers Fiber Arts Show is in full swing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday at Greenstone Artworks, 104 Main Street in downtown Westcliffe.

Handmade items that are woven, knitted, crocheted, felted, beaded, sewn or use various other handmade techniques are available for purchase. They will have an amazing selection of shawls, scarves, table runners, rugs, baskets, etc., all beautiful and elegant including soft and adorable baby things. Weaving and spinning demonstrations are ongoing throughout the show. You can register in a free drawing for a beautiful handmade item just for stopping in.

Olde Schoolhouse Quilters

Their 27th Annual Quilt Show also runs through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lange Hall next to Hope Lutheran Church in Westcliffe.

There will be approximately 65 quilts displayed, including Comfort Quilts and Patriot Quilts; this year they will also have a display of art quilts. In addition, there will be a “bucket raffle” of small items such as wall hangings. In the loft, there will be a show and sale of small quilts and wall hangings, many hand-quilted, donated by a quilter who has had to move from the valley.

Art Walk

The First Saturday Art Walk will also be happening all day Saturday. Meander on Main Street to discover fine arts and support our local one-of-a-kind art galleries and shops in downtown Westcliffe.
