The National Weather Service forecast for today is overcast with an 80% chance of
snow accumulating to 2 to 3 inches. Highs in the low 30s and north winds to 10
mph. Overnight mostly clear. Lows 11 to 17.
As of press time, the information posted by the Custer County Public Health agency
on Friday has not changed from 51 cases, but the data for Custer County on the
State Agency's page has. Their lab has confirmed 57 cases for us so far this year.
Fingers crossed that we can maintain our perfect score of zero deaths.
Those of you looking forward to the Board of Health meeting don't have to wait until
Thursday – Contrary to the info from yesterday, the Board is actually meeting
TODAY at 10:00am. If you'd like to listen or make public comment, the dial-in and

Items on the agenda include an update on our COVID situation from Dr. Brown; a
search for a volunteer to serve as the Board's secretary; consideration of a
Volunteer Resource Advisory committee to the Board and its Director; and
consideration of a Public Information Officer to serve both the Health Agency and
the Office of Emergency Management.

A sheriff's deputy received a report of a missing Martin guitar from the 700 block of
County Road 120. The report did not mention if the instrument was a pre-war model
or a laminate top knock-off, but if you see a Martin for sale on a street corner, do
yourself a favor and ask the Sheriff's department help you determine if it's the one
The Jones Theater is casting for a live radio production of John Arden’s "The
Business of Good Government: A Christmas Play". The rehearsals will adhere to
COVID safety protocols. Some of the parts still available are: The Three Wise Men;
The Three Shepherds; Mary; Joseph; The Angel Gabriel; King Herod’s Secretary;
The Midwife; and A Farm Girl; There will be a first reading over zoom, at 10:00am
