It is with disappointment that the board of KLZR 91.7 FM radio has decided to cancel the September 2020 High Peaks Music Festival and High Peaks Premiere as well as the remaining dates for the Summer in the Park Sunday concerts. The challenges and unpredictability of the current Covid-19 pandemic make planning and logistics of these events difficult. Our primary concern is the safety of the audience, the artists, the volunteers, and ultimately, our community. This decision is consistent with most other communities around the state and around the country.
We plan to return with these events, bigger and better than ever, in 2021. And stay tuned as we continue to update and improve our on-air offerings and support our DJs working from the station and at home. The KLZR team continues to work on new ways to keep the music playing even in these uncertain times.
Stay safe and thanks for your understanding and your continued support of KLZR 91.7 FM and its events.
Gary Taylor, President of the Board, WMBC/KLZR
In conjunction with Custer County Public Health, KLZR has developed a plan that allows DJs the option of returning to our studios.
Return is 100% voluntary and DJs have been informed that an unwillingness to return at this time in no way will jeopardize their standing at KLZR when we return to normal operations.
