Dear KLZR Friends and Listeners,

With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to evolve unpredictably—and out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our community, including musicians, fans and volunteers—Rock N Soul Jam 2020 will not occur this summer.  We have also made the difficult decision to postpone Taste of the Valley – possibly to a later date or in a different form.

These decisions are made after much careful deliberation. It takes something truly momentous to interrupt the music scene in Westcliffe, but we feel strongly that this is the most prudent course right now.

That said, we are already thinking about ways to keep the music playing through on-air events, Face Book parties and a virtual wine-tasting – just some of the ideas being floated by KLZR listeners and music fans.  We’ll keep you posted with updates on our website and Face Book page as the summer season begins – including with regard to whether we will hold the High Peaks Music Festival in September and our Summer in the Park Sunday concert series. 

Thanks for your understanding and continued interest and support.  We welcome your ideas for how KLZR can help you manage your quarantine.  We have closed the station to non-essential team members and are working to get more of our DJs on the air, remotely.  So, stay tuned in for the best in music – and until we meet again at a concert – be safe and keep smiling behind that face mask!
