2018 Sponsorship Opportunities

KLZR is pleased to present this recognition opportunity for local individuals and business leaders committed to supporting the arts in our community.  KLZR community radio is a 14-year old, successful, not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization that provides local music and information programming 24/7, concerts and other events throughout the year in the Wet Mountain Valley.

As you know, ticket revenue alone won’t cover the cost of event production and so we rely on sponsors and donations to keep our ticket prices affordable.

In past years we have approached potential donors and sponsors multiple times for each event as it occurs.  This year we’re reaching out to potential sponsors by assembling information about all KLZR event and program sponsorship opportunities in this one brief document.

This sponsorship package lays out what opportunities are available in the coming year along with the various costs and benefits for donors and sponsors.

We believe providing sponsors and donors with an overview of opportunities provides a more complete picture of our needs, offering several ways of making a gift, that will make your giving decisions easier.  The levels and opportunities that follow reflect what you can expect from your sponsorship investment.

Sponsorship is a clear endorsement of the important role that KLZR Radio plays in the quality of life across our Wet Mountain Valley.  Community-minded businesses and donors are key to reaching our goal of providing entertainment and cultural experiences in our valley. We appreciate your support!

Why is this a good idea?

Our radio station is unique and local, and that same uniqueness is reflected in those individuals and businesses that find our programs and events to be a terrific way to celebrate and enjoy our community.

What can I sponsor?

Any KLZR event is available for sponsorship.  Businesses can sponsor individual events or all of our 2018 events.  This year’s annual events include:

May and December, Spring and Winter Open Houses: Twice a year KLZR opens the station to the public in conjunction with holiday celebrations throughout town.  Live music and DJs play music all day while station visitors have a chance to see the broadcasting studio. We typically see 100-125 visitors come through the station during our open houses.

June 9, Rock ‘N’ Soul Jam ‘18:  KLZR’s Rock ‘N’ Soul Jam returns to the Wet Mountain Valley for a second year, hosted at the Feed Store Amphitheater.  Featuring 3 regional bands, it’s an excursion into the past with Classic Rock, Motown and Soul music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s.  Set with a backdrop of the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains, over 200 attended last year’s inaugural event and 250 tickets are expected to be sold for this year’s event.

June 24, Taste of the Valley: Taste of the Valley is KLZR’s annual wine and dinner, premier fundraising event.  Sixty guests enjoy a multiple course dinner paired with wine, music, a live auction and views to match.  Sponsorship of the cost of food and wine for the dinner is available. This event sells out every year and attracts lovers of food, wine and community radio!

September 7 & 8, High Peaks Premiere and High Peaks Music Festival: For nearly ten years the High Peaks Music Festival, and its opening Premiere night, have featured the best in musical talent in our region.  This event hosted by local musicians, including Smythe and Taylor, sees over 300 guests for an afternoon of music, picnicking and fun.
